They'll need a stadium. Maybe they could put a football team in it. ;)

Quebec premier Jean Charest and incoming Canadian Olympic Committee president Marcel Aubut are both big on the idea of a Quebec bid for the 2022 Games.

That's twelve years away. I would hope the CFL will be in a position to expand sooner than that. From what I can see, there seems to be no big push for a CFL team in QC anyway. Priority seems to be getting the NHL back (which I hope happens) then this Olympic dream. Remember, QC bid on the games once before and even though it was the fixed bid 2002 games, they got thrashed in the voting. They will be working with two major handicaps. One is the suitability - or lack thereof - of the local Alpine venues to meet FIS standards and the second one is that there will be a USA bid. Reno-Tahoe look to be the forerunner to win the US approval to submit a bid and if they do, that could be an insurmountable obstacle for QC. That area is major international jet set destination with money and an Olympic history (Squaw Valley 1960). If you are hopping that this might spur a CFL team in Quebec City, I wouldn't hold your breath. Lets just hope a stadium can get built because there is a genuine desire to have a CFL team there.

In order to bid on Olympics and whatever else there is out there, they might try getting the necessary venues built before hand.
QC and Winnipeg lost their NHL teams mostly because no one wanted to upgrade their facilities.
